When the Richmond International Airport wanted to add parking, they needed to look no further than the team of Cleveland Cement and Donley’s. The scope of the work included the construction of a new 800,000 sf 4 story parking garage. This project proceeded flawlessly and opened on schedule in the winter of 2009.
Challenges:
- Sequencing a 2,600 car garage with a 5 acre foot print and having the project substantially complete in 11 months from foundation to top out
- Building next to an active existing parking structure and active airport
- Sequencing 22 pours per level for a total of 66 total elevated deck pours
